What’s Included in the Beeston Dental Careplan? Plans, Prices and Who Each One Suits
Most people know they should see the dentist and hygienist regularly. Fewer people enjoy getting a bill each time they do. That’s the reason we run the Beeston Dental Careplan, a monthly membership that spreads the cost of your routine care across the year.
This guide sets out exactly what each plan includes, what it costs, and how it compares with paying as you go, so you can decide whether it makes sense for you.
How The Careplan Works
You pay a fixed amount each month by direct debit. In return, your routine check-ups, X-rays and hygiene visits are covered, and you get a discount on most other treatments.
There’s a one-off £12 registration fee, which is added to your first monthly payment. After that, it’s the same amount every month.
What Every Plan Includes
Whichever adult plan you choose, you get:
- Two dental examinations a year
- Routine X-rays and oral cancer screening
- Registration with your chosen dentist
- Direct email and phone access to your dentist for advice
- Out-of-hours emergency care
- Worldwide accident and emergency cover
- A free toothbrush
You also get 10% off treatment, including dental implants, plus 10% off teeth whitening and whitening products, and a reduced rate on our same-day CEREC crowns.
The Three Adult Plans
The plans differ in one way: how many 30-minute hygiene appointments you get each year.
| Plan | Monthly cost | Hygiene visits per year |
| Plan A | £29.00 | 2 |
| Plan B | £36.25 | 3 |
| Plan C | £43.50 | 4 |
Plan A suits most people with healthy gums who keep on top of brushing and cleaning between their teeth.
Plan B and Plan C are for people who build up tartar quickly, or who’ve been told their gums need closer attention. If you’ve had gum disease, smoke, have diabetes, or wear braces or aligners, your dentist will often recommend seeing the hygienist every three or four months. Paying for that visit by visit adds up quickly, so a higher plan tends to work out better value.
Plans for Children
Children’s plans cover two appointments a year:
- Mini plan (up to age 10): £5.00 a month
- Maxi plan (age 11 to 18): £7.00 a month
These sit nicely alongside our Kids Club, which helps younger patients get used to the dental chair early on.
Is it Cheaper Than Paying as You Go?
It’s a fair question, and the honest answer depends on how you use it.
Our current prices list an examination from £67, X-rays from £22 and a hygiene appointment from £89. Two check-ups, two hygiene visits and one set of X-rays a year would come to at least £334 if you paid each time. Plan A costs £348 a year.
So on routine care alone, the numbers are close. Where the plan pulls ahead is everything else:
- Treatment discounts. A composite filling is from £193, or from £173.70 on the plan. One filling a year more than covers the difference.
- Emergency cover. Out-of-hours emergency care and worldwide accident cover are included. Without a plan, an emergency appointment with us is £150.
- Easier budgeting. A fixed monthly payment means no surprise bills. It’s also easier to keep your appointments when they’re already paid for.
If you need more frequent hygiene visits, the saving is clearer. Four hygiene visits, two check-ups and X-rays would cost at least £512 a year paying per visit. Plan C is £522, and you’d still get the 10% discount on any treatment on top.
What The Plan Doesn’t Cover
It’s worth being clear about this upfront:
- Treatment beyond check-ups, X-rays and your hygiene visits is charged separately, at the discounted rate.
- The 10% treatment discount doesn’t apply to clear aligner treatment. If you’re thinking about straightening your teeth, our Invisalign page explains the options and finance.
- Full terms, including the limits of the accident and emergency cover, are set out in the membership agreement you’ll receive when you sign up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I join if I’m a new patient? Yes. You’ll register with your chosen dentist as part of joining.
Can I change plans later? Ask the team. If your dentist recommends more frequent hygiene visits, moving to a higher plan is usually the simplest option.
Is there a joining fee? Yes, a one-off £12 registration fee, added to your first payment.
Does the plan cover children? Yes. The Mini plan is £5 a month for children up to 10, and the Maxi plan is £7 a month for ages 11 to 18.
Does the discount apply to dental implants? Yes. Members get 10% off all treatments, including implants. Clear aligner treatment is the exception.
Who is The Careplan Right For?
It works well if you:
- Want to see the dentist and hygienist regularly but prefer to spread the cost
- Have treatment coming up, such as fillings, crowns or implants, and want the discount
- Have a family and want everyone’s routine care on one simple monthly payment
- Like the reassurance of emergency cover, at home or abroad
It’s less useful if you only ever plan to attend once in a while. Then again, the patients who attend least often are usually the ones whose problems become more involved by the time they do come in.
How to Join
Call the team on 0115 9254 169 or get in touch online. We’ll talk you through which plan fits, and if you’re a new patient, we’ll book your first examination so your dentist can recommend how often you should see the hygienist.
