Cerec Crowns

Effective smile design

Beeston dental practice & implant clinic

Due to basic biology, accident, or trauma, our teeth can become misshapen, chipped, or broken beyond apparent repair. Using revolutionary CEREC technology, we can restore the healthy appearance and uniformity of your teeth with colour-matched crowns and veneers in just one visit. We were the first practice in Nottingham to invest in this ground-breaking one-visit technology, and we’re proud to offer its fantastic results.

  • Restore your smile by covering discoloured, broken, or misshapen teeth
  • Receive treatment in a single visit rather than over the course of weeks
  • Uses advanced digital imaging to create a true-to-life model of your tooth
  • Your CEREC crowns and veneers are created in-practice
  • Creating your CEREC crowns and veneers takes no more than 30 minutes

The creation of CEREC crowns is a simple procedure, so simple in fact that we can prepare your tooth, create your ceramic restoration, and place it all within one visit to our dental practice. This would usually take two weeks or more, making CEREC technology efficient and far superior to traditional crown fittings.

We prepare your tooth and take a highly detailed digital image of the tooth we are treating. This is then converted in a 3D computerised image and forms a guide on how to design and create your CEREC restoration. Once we’re happy with its design, we then create your CEREC crowns and veneers in-practice in as little as 6 minutes. The ceramic we use to create your crowns and veneers come in a wide variety of shades and colours, allowing us to match your restoration to your current teeth. We can even characterise it with stains, markings, and shape it to match your surrounding teeth. It’s then placed in the same day!

    The results were outstanding!

“I recently decided to have CEREC veneers across my upper front teeth. Chris explained the whole process to me in great detail with no pressure at anytime and gave me plenty of time to make my decision. The veneers were done in one visit by Chris who constantly put me at ease and made me feel relaxed at all times, with unbelievable results which has given me so much more confidence to smile.”

    Frequently asked questions

CEREC Crowns and Veneers, Beeston Dental Practice & Implant Clinic

    1. Why use CEREC crowns and veneers?

Beeston Dental Practice were the first in Nottingham to adopt CEREC technology, and it’s no secret why. CEREC technology streamlines the whole process of designing, creating, and placing restorative dentistry. It allows all of these key aspects to be undertaken in just one visit, rather than over the traditional and cumbersome course of a few weeks. This means we you don’t even need to plan your dentistry around a busy life, you only need one appointment to restore a broken, misshapen, or damaged tooth.

    2. What is the difference between a crown and a veneer?

Broadly speaking, a crown fits over the entire tooth while a veneer is fixed just to the front of the tooth. Which option you receive depends on what is the most suitable for your area of restoration. We can discuss this at your initial consultation and assess your needs to find the best restorative dentistry solution for you.

    3. How is my tooth prepared for CEREC crowns and veneers?

In order to fit your restorative crown or veneer properly and securely, we need to prepare your tooth. If you have a full tooth that you are restoring, with a veneer for example, we will reshape and file down the surface of the tooth to make sure it is the right size to fit your replacement tooth to. Alternatively, if the tooth is damaged or broken, we may fill it or shape it with dental composite to make it large enough to support your ceramic restoration.

    4. Will my CEREC crowns and veneers look obvious?

Not at all, the ceramic that your CEREC crowns and veneers are made of comes in a wide range of colours and shades. This means we can colour match your restorative dentistry to your natural teeth, helping them blend seamlessly into your smile.

    5. How long will my tooth restoration last?

When cared for properly and attentively, your CEREC crown or veneer could last you many happy years. It’s important to note that they aren’t indestructible, as they feel and function like your natural teeth. This means you should maintain brushing, flossing, and regular hygiene habits to ensure their longevity.
