Since the recent news concerning a Nottingham Dentist being suspended by the General Dental Council as a result of concerns over cross infection control, naturally many of our patients have been concerned.
Many patients have asked us directly what methods of cross infection controls we use, and we welcome this opportunity to reassure out patients that we take this issue very seriously indeed and always strive to maintain optimum levels of hygiene and cross infections standards.
We have a dedicated decontamination room to safely and effectively decontaminate, disinfect and sterilise our instruments using ultra sonic baths, washer dis-infectors and vacuum steam autoclaves. Our staff receive regular training in cross infection control and our systems are audited regularly.
But don't just take our word for it - our routine CQC (Care Quality Commission) inspection reported that our 'Patients were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment.
If you would like to read our full CQC report then click this link, and please feel free to ask any member of staff about our cross infection procedures, and raise any concerns you might have.
